We always insist that what is right is the best. The market price gap is so big, how to choose? Let's take a look at the manufacturing process of ceramic rings.
The ceramic ring consists of three parts: the ceramic body, the copper needle and the stainless steel sheet.
Compared with alumina, the ceramic body made of zirconia has higher density, wear resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient and high resistivity. After such a ceramic body is attached to the stainless steel sheet, it is not easy to deform after being heated, which can ensure the stable transmission of signals; the surface finish is high, the airflow can pass smoothly, and the cutting effect is naturally better.
A stainless steel sheet is a part that looks easier than it does. We have done a comparison, and some low-quality ceramic rings have stainless steel sheets that can be seen deformed from the front! In order to ensure that the thin stainless steel sheet is not deformed by heat after being assembled, four processes must be completed (the specific process involves the process, which will not be described in detail here). Many factories have simplified it to two or three, and the result is a ceramic ring. Soon after use, it was scrapped due to the deformation of the stainless steel sheet!
The copper needle is also a key component, and electrical signal transmission depends on it. To improve the conductivity, the most effective method is gold plating, and the copper needles of some companies are only pure copper parts, so the gold plating is directly saved!
There is another raw material that must be mentioned: conductive silver glue. The main body of the ceramic ring is bonded together by it. This glue should not only have good strength, high electrical conductivity, but also be able to withstand high temperatures. Without good glue, after polishing, high temperature test, and torque test, the proportion of ceramic rings that can pass the continuity test will not exceed 60%, and 40% of those who fail the test can only be scrapped and cannot be reworked!
Although the consumables such as nozzles, protective lenses, and ceramic rings are small, these are important consumables for laser cutting machines. Choosing the right product does not necessarily have to be the best, but the quality must be guaranteed, so as to escort the laser cutting!
