The bottom of the laser cutting head is the nozzle. During the cutting process, the height of the nozzle does not change, so the focus cannot be adjusted by raising and lowering the cutting head. The focal length of the focusing mirror is immutable, so you can't expect to adjust the focus by changing the focal length. If you change the position of the focusing mirror, you can change the focus position: when the focusing mirror goes down, the focus goes down, and when the focusing mirror goes up, the focus goes up, which is a way of focusing. Using a motor to drive the focusing mirror to move up and down can realize automatic focusing.
Another method of automatic focusing is to install a variable curvature mirror before the beam enters the focusing mirror, and by changing the curvature of the mirror, the divergence angle of the reflected beam is changed, thereby changing the focus position.
