Faults:The laser is not powered on

1.1 Please turn off the air switch of the laser and check the external power supply to ensure that the laser model is consistent with the instruction manual and the wiring is correct.

1.2 Please turn on the air switch or micro-break switch on the laser switch panel.

1.3 Please confirm whether the emergency stop switch on the front panel is turned on.

1.4 Please check whether the key switch on the front panel is turned to the ON or REM position.

If the device has abnormal noise or smell, please stop using it and contact Raycus after-sales personnel to help you solve the problem.

Faults:The laser cannot be connected

2.1 Please reconnect the control line and confirm that it meets the requirements in the instruction manual.

2.2 Set the correct computer connection port and set the port parameters, baud rate: 9600 (19200 can be consulted by technical personnel for details), data bit: 8, parity check: none, stop bit: 1, data flow control: none.

2.3 Replace the serial port of the computer, and if necessary, replace the computer for connection.

If necessary, you can contact Raycus after-sales personnel to help you solve the problem.

Faults:The laser cannot emit light

3.1 Whether the mode entered by the laser is the mode you currently need, and the entry method can refer to the instruction manual or related operating procedures.

3.2 Whether the laser has completed the self-test and entered the working mode, please check the online interface: if there is a "switch signal error, power off and turn off the switch signal", please bounce the laser enable button LASER on the front panel of the laser and restart the laser key; if there is an "interlock error, power off and connect the interlock interface", please connect the interlock interface of the laser board and restart the laser key.

3.3 Provide correct internal settings and external control signals according to the requirements of the manual

3.3.1 The internal continuous mode requires the correct power setting and pressing the LASER button on the front panel to set the power to 0-100. Some models have different minimum output power requirements depending on the debugging process. Generally, there may be no laser output or a small amount of output below 8. , the light output below 10 has no protection function, please use it with caution.

3.3.2 The internal modulation mode requires correct frequency, duty cycle, power settings and pressing the LASER button on the front panel. Some models have different minimum output power requirements depending on the debugging process. Generally, there may be no laser output or a small amount of output below 8. The light output below 10 has no protection function, please use it with caution.

3.3.3 The external continuous mode needs to meet the working conditions of the 'internal modulation mode', and the user also needs to provide an external modulation signal, that is, the laser modulation signal input port MOD (high level) on the rear panel.

3.3.4 The external modulation mode needs to meet the working conditions of the 'internal modulation mode', and the user also needs to provide an external modulation signal, that is, the laser modulation signal input port MOD (modulation signal) on the rear panel.

3.3.5 In RS-232 mode, the laser switch light and parameters need to be set through the communication protocol. The user also needs to provide external control signals. The rear panel MOD receives external signals to control the laser.

3.3.6 AD mode requires the user to control the laser power through an external analog voltage signal and provide an external modulation signal, that is, the laser modulation signal input port MOD (modulation signal) on the rear panel. Note that before the laser is powered on, pins 7 and 9 of the DB25 control interface on the rear panel of the laser must provide 24V high level. At the same time, pins 6 and 9 must be at low level, otherwise the laser cannot enter the external AD mode, or the "switching optical signal error" is reported during the self-checking process, indicating that the self-checking cannot be completed.

3.4 After restarting the laser, please change the laser output power or analog signal when it emits light again, otherwise the laser may be in the safety design and not emit light.

Faults:Laser Alarm

When the laser is running, when the internal temperature of the laser is abnormal, the output power is abnormal, the INETRLOCK is disconnected, the power supply is abnormal, etc., the laser will fail. The ALARM warning light (yellow) on the front panel of the laser lights up, the laser stops emitting light and locks. At the same time, the HyperTerminal window will also display the fault that occurs. The laser fault descriptions and possible solutions are as follows:

fault 1

Fault description:

Temperature fault occurs when the sensor inside the laser detects an abnormal temperature inside the laser. There are 4 temperature monitoring points, namely T1~T4. When the temperature of the monitoring point exceeds the set upper limit, a high temperature fault occurs, and when it exceeds the set lower limit, a low temperature fault occurs.

Possible solutions:

In the event of a high temperature fault, please check whether the water cooling system is normally turned on, whether the water temperature setting is correct, whether the water cooler is working normally, and whether there is any abnormality in the water connection. When the water cooling system works normally and the water temperature drops below 30°C, restart the laser and try. If the failure continues, please contact Raycus. For machines with jumper (QBH) temperature monitoring, it should also be considered whether the laser processing of the QBH output head is good, or whether there is a problem with the processing head.

In the case of a low temperature fault, please check whether the actual water temperature of the water cooler is too low. In addition, if the ambient temperature is too low, it may also cause a low temperature alarm when the laser is started in a cold state. In the above cases, wait until the water temperature of the water cooler rises above 10°C, and then restart the laser to try. If the failure continues, please contact Raycus.

fault 2

The reserved fault code is meaningless for the time being.

Fault 3

The reserved fault code is meaningless for the time being.

Fault 4

Fault description:

Power failure, when the output power of the laser cannot reach the set value, a power failure occurs. Power failure only occurs when the laser is out of light. External strong/weak current may cause TE4: ① unstable strong power, wrong wiring; ② weak current interference, power-on sequence.

Possible solutions:

Try restarting the laser. If the fault continues to occur frequently, please contact Raycus.

Fault 5

Fault description:

INTERLOCK failure, occurs when the laser INTERLOCK is disconnected. Generally, customers will interlock the water cooler with this signal to rule out whether the water cooler is working normally.

Possible solutions:

Short the pin of INTERLOCK, then restart the laser to try, if the fault continues, please contact Raycus.

Fault 6

Fault description:

Optical failure, if the laser has no light output under the condition of correct setting, it will produce optical failure. The light output failure also only occurs in the light output state. The strong magnetic interference around the device or the timing of control signals should also be considered.

Possible solutions:

Try restarting the laser. If the fault continues to occur frequently, please contact Raycus.

Fault 7

The reserved fault code is meaningless for the time being.

Fault 8

Fault description:

Laser power failure 1. The failure of the laser power supply or the sudden power failure and restart of the power supply system may cause a failure.

Possible solutions:

Try restarting the laser, if the failure continues, please contact Raycus.

Fault 9

Fault description:

Laser power failure 2, the internal overcurrent or overvoltage of the laser may cause the failure.

Possible solutions:

Try restarting the laser, if the failure continues, please contact Raycus.

After the laser is dropped from a high place, obvious condensation, water immersion, oil immersion, metal dust entry, or lightning strike, please do not attempt to connect water and electricity by yourself. Please notify Raycus' technicians for maintenance support as soon as possible.
