The ceramic ring has three main accessories: ceramic body, copper needle and stainless steel plate.
The first thing to do when making a ceramic ring with a price of 200 yuan is to save materials: alumina ceramic ring, non-gold-plated copper needle, stainless steel plate, simplify the processing process; Second, the preservation process: simplify the processing process and reduce the inspection process. The price of ceramic rings made in this way is much lower than 200 yuan, and it is easy to make money!
Second, the ceramic body is the most important accessory of the ceramic ring.
Ceramic bodies on the market are mainly made of two materials: zirconia and alumina. Although they are only separate, the price is different: zirconia is several times higher than alumina. Wanshunxing's original ceramic ring, a famous brand of laser cutting heads, is a ceramic body made of zirconia. Compared with alumina, it has higher density, wear resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, high resistivity, high surface finish and drop resistance after molding. After the ceramic body is bonded to the stainless steel plate, the ceramic body is not easily deformed after heating, which ensures stable signal transmission; the surface finish is high, the airflow can pass smoothly, and the cutting is naturally better.
In fact, we often deal with zirconia in our daily production. The best ceramic rings are made of zirconia. Compared to aluminum oxide, it has several grades that are better, and of course the price is several times higher. However, the most popular ceramic rings of the past two years are also made of zirconia. Zirconia ceramic rings can be as sharp as new in five to six years, but are expensive. So there are many ceramic tools on the market made of alumina to make up the volume, so the market is screwed up. Many people say ceramic rings have been using dull knives for months, but they actually bought alumina knives. The market has not recovered yet. Too many fakes!
Stainless steel plate is a component that looks easy to manufacture but is actually very difficult. I checked some ceramic rings made by the company and can see some stainless steel pieces deformed from the front. In order to ensure that the very thin stainless steel plate does not deform when heated after assembly, four processes must be completed (the specific process involves this process and will not be described here). Some factories have been reduced to two or three. As a result, after a few days of use, the ceramic ring was scraped off due to the deformation of the stainless steel plate!
Copper pins are also a critical component upon which the transmission of electrical signals depends. In order to improve conductivity, the most effective method is gold plating, and some copper needle manufacturers are pure copper parts, which directly saves gold plating!
There is another material that must be mentioned: conductive silver glue. The body of the ceramic ring is bonded together by it. The glue should not only have good strength and high conductivity, but also be able to withstand high temperatures. Without good glue, after polishing, high temperature test and torsion test, the proportion of ceramic rings that can pass the conduction test will not exceed 60%, and the 40% that fail the test can only be scrapped and cannot be reprocessed!
Although the ceramic ring is very small, it is a key consumable for laser cutters, so we need to know more during the selection process. Only when the quality is better than the price, can you find a more cost-effective product.
