Application of Laser Welding Head in Welding of Motor Stator Iron Core

1. Motor stator and rotor stamping motor stator core is manufactured by riveting, bending, bonding, welding head welding and other processing techniques. Welded components have the advantage of high quality and low cost.

The weldment uses silicon steel sheet as the raw material of the stator core. After cutting head cutting, stamping and other processing techniques, the laminations are fastened and laminated, and a plurality of welds are longitudinally welded on the outer wall of the laminated stator at a distance so that the surface layers of each silicon steel sheet are welded to each other form an integral stator with each other.

In the development process of the welding technology of motor stator welding head, electrode arc welding, CO2 gas shielded welding, argon arc welding and laser welding head welding have been adopted successively. From the point of view of welding manufacturability of the welding head, the latter two welding methods are ideal, while the first two welding methods obviously have the disadvantages of poor forming and large spatter.

Cold-rolled or hot-rolled silicon steel sheets with good weldability are often used for motor stator laminations. If laser head welding is used, compared with argon arc welding, not only the productivity is increased, but also the hygiene and safety conditions of the production environment are improved. In the process of argon arc welding, it can eliminate the harm of strong arc and ozone and other harmful oxides to the human body. In addition, the computer can be used to control two machines or four machines or one machine to output the laser beams of multiple magnetic heads, the laser head beams are respectively arranged around the outer circumferential wall of the stator, so that the stator is fixed in the required number of welding seams, the welding machine It can be operated once or twice, which not only greatly reduces the amount of deformation, but also saves the processing time.

2. Welding the motor rotor shaft and rotor shaft pressure ring The ring weld before the motor rotor shaft and the pressure ring generally adopts CO2 gas shielded welding or argon arc welding.

Welding head welding produces large deformations and a large heat-affected zone. The heat generated by the welding of the welding head will also affect the magnets in the assembled motor body. The laser welding head welding method has the advantages of concentrated energy, high density, high heating efficiency and fast speed, so the deformation of the base metal is small, and the metal in the non-melting area is less affected by heat.

3. Motor rotor shaft and clutch welding head

When welding the rotor shaft of the welding motor and the clutch, the weld penetration exceeds 4 mm. If CO2 gas shielded welding or argon arc welding is used, although the penetration can meet the requirements, the deformation is difficult to control. The welding method of high-power wire-filled laser welding head can reduce the precision requirements of workpiece groove processing and assembly, and improve the quality of weld formation. Additionally, the microstructure and properties of the weld zone can be controlled by adjusting the composition of the filler wire.

4. Sealed welding rivets or bolts of the motor aluminum alloy casing are usually used to connect the motor aluminum alloy casing and the body

Therefore, it is necessary to add a gasket between the motor casing and the body to play a sealing role. As the gasket ages and becomes damaged, this sealing effect diminishes, which will affect the overall performance of the motor. If seamless welding is used instead of riveting or bolting, it can not only reduce the weight of the body, shorten the production cycle, but also obtain good sealing performance. Compared with other materials, aluminum alloys have poor weldability and are usually welded with argon arc welding or laser welding heads.
