Application of Scanning Galvo in 3D Laser Welding
The development of laser application technology is getting faster and faster, and more and more fields are involved. Like other technologies, lasers are closely integrated with technologies such as computers and automation, and are developing rapidly together. The arrival of the galvanometer era has once again ushered in a leap-forward development of laser scanning in China, and the substantial increase in speed and accuracy has once again stimulated the original tool industry. The industry market for laser processing has also opened its doors. With the continuous improvement of industrial demand, the welding of two-dimensional plane can no longer meet the needs of the current market, and the era of three-dimensional galvanometer welding system has come.
Comparing the 3D laser scanning galvanometer system with the X-Y plane laser scanning system, it can be found that the 3D laser scanning galvanometer system has obvious advantages:
★ High scanning speed: The laser can be moved in a large range by the small angle deflection of the galvanometer;
★ High positioning accuracy: the use of position sensors and the design of negative feedback loops ensure the accuracy of the system;
★ Low noise: almost no sound is produced when the galvanometer rotates;
★ It is not in direct contact with the working environment, and the whole system can be located outside the processing material;
★ The focal length variable range is large, which can continuously and quickly complete the welding of three-dimensional products;
★ Difficult-to-weld materials can be welded. Laser galvanometer welding is mainly controlled by a computer control system, which can automatically weld workpieces that are difficult to weld by hand.
At present, many users in the market have implemented this three-dimensional galvanometer welding technology in various practical applications. For example, Volkswagen has implemented a circular movement of the laser beam along the weld seam. This new technology, called "laser stir welding", stirs the weld pool by the helical advancement of the laser, which increases the volume of the weld pool and allows the laser weld to cover a larger gap. Moreover, the beating of the laser in three-dimensional space is also used in the welding of car cabins: Auto parts supplier Faurecia uses lasers for precise and fast welding of car seat backs at different heights, thanks to this The technology that the laser spot can be flexibly and quickly beating in three-dimensional space.
The trick to this 3D beating capability is the 3D scanning galvo system. Jinhaichuang 3D scanning galvanometer system is based on the original two-dimensional (X, Y axis) galvanometer system, adding a front focusing lens that moves in the Z axis direction. In this way, the laser focus can move freely and smoothly in the three axes of x, y, and z on the workpiece, enabling welding on different height planes and in hard-to-reach areas, making laser welding more flexible and efficient.
With the development of 2D galvanometer welding system to 3D galvanometer welding system, it is believed that laser scanning galvanometers will be more widely and universally applied in future industrial production.
