What are the accessories of a laser machine?

Many products require peripheral accessories to form a perfect and high-performance product. Similarly, peripheral accessories are also needed to form a masterpiece. What are the common peripheral accessories of laser equipment? Let me introduce a few below.

Laser equipment one: Q-drive

Q driver is a specialized power supply that drives the operation of Q switching components. It applies the corresponding RF signal to the Q-switching element based on external control signals to complete laser presence control and Q-modulation.

Product technical indicators and parameters:

Technical indicators and performance

1. Output power: Factory preset 50W (adjustable: 30-50W).

2. Center frequency: 27MHz.

3. Load: 50 Ω.

4. RF power drop edge ≤ 200ns.

5. RF turn off time (internal modulation state): Factory setting 5 μ S (adjustable: 2-10 μ s) .

6. It has the function of first pulse suppression, easy adjustment, and the function of displaying the number of first pulse suppression.

7. Accept TTL level control signals (starting signal and modulation signal).

8. It has an overheat protection function.

When the load does not match, an alarm can be triggered by the panel indicator light.

Laser Equipment 2: Laser

Laser, as the name suggests, is a device that can emit light.

Principle: Except for free electron lasers, the basic working principles of various lasers are the same. The essential conditions for generating lasers are particle number inversion and gain greater than loss. Therefore, the essential components of the device include an excitation (or pumping) source and a working medium with metastable energy levels. Excitation is the process in which a working medium absorbs external energy and excites it to an excited state, creating conditions for achieving and maintaining particle number inversion. The incentive methods include optical excitation, electrical excitation, chemical excitation, and nuclear energy excitation. The presence of metastable energy levels in the working medium allows stimulated radiation to dominate, thereby achieving optical amplification. A common component in lasers is also a resonant cavity, but a resonant cavity (see optical resonant cavity) is not an essential component. A resonant cavity allows photons in the cavity to have consistent frequency, phase, and operating direction, thereby giving the laser good directionality and coherence. Moreover, it can effectively shorten the length of the working material and adjust the mode of the generated laser (i.e. mode selection) by changing the length of the resonant cavity, so most lasers have resonant cavities.

Common lasers include semiconductor lasers, SPI lasers, RF lasers, CO2 lasers, fiber lasers, glass tube lasers, etc.

Laser equipment three: galvanometer

Galvanometer is an excellent vector scanning device. It is a special type of swinging motor, whose basic principle is to generate a torque in the magnetic field when the coil is energized. However, unlike a rotating motor, the rotor is equipped with a reset torque through mechanical springs or electronic methods, which is proportional to the angle at which the rotor deviates from the balance position. When the coil is energized with a certain current and the rotor deviates to a certain angle, the electromagnetic torque is equal to the recovery torque, so it cannot rotate like a regular motor, It can only be deflected, and the deflection angle is proportional to the current, just like an ammeter, so the galvanometer is also called a scanning galvanometer.
