What components are required for the laser welding machine

With the continuous improvement of people's process requirements, traditional welding can no longer meet the needs of customers. The emergence of a new generation of laser welding machines has promoted the development of welding technology, and the application range and industry are also becoming more and more widespread. However, many people are not yet clear about the components of laser welding machines. Below, we will explain what components are needed to make up a laser welding machine.

1. Laser: There are mainly two types of lasers for laser welding: CO2 gas lasers and YAG solid state lasers. The most important performance of a laser is its output power and beam quality. CO2 laser wavelength has a good absorption rate for non-metallic materials, while for metals, YAG laser wavelength has a high absorption rate, which is very conducive to metal welding.

2. Beam Focusing System: A laser beam focusing system is a type of laser, optical processing component that typically consists of several lenses. Beam focusing systems and various forms: parabolic mirror systems, planar mirror systems, spherical mirror systems.

3. Beam transmission system: The beam transmission system is used for transmitting and outputting laser sources, including beam expansion, beam manipulation, beam energy distribution, reflector transmission, fiber optic transmission, etc.

4. Protective gas and nozzle structure: Laser welding and arc welding require inert gas protection to prevent oxidation and air pollution. Laser welding requires gas protection. During the laser welding process, these gases are output to the laser radiation zone through a special nozzle, achieving a protective effect.

5. Fixture: Laser welding fixture is mainly used to fix welded workpieces and enable them to be repeatedly loaded, unloaded, and positioned to facilitate automatic laser welding. Therefore, fixture is one of the essential equipment in laser welding production.

6. Observation system: Generally, laser welding machines need to be equipped with an observation system that can perform real-time microscopic observation of the workpiece, which is used to facilitate precise positioning and inspection of welding effects during the welding process when programming welding procedures. Generally, CCD display systems or microscopes are configured.

7. Cooling system: The cooling system provides cooling function for the laser generator, usually equipped with a 1-5 horsepower water circulation chiller (mainly for welding machines with square and circular lasers)

8. Cabinet, industrial control computer

In addition to the above accessories, the laser welding machine also includes modules, columns, galvanometers, field mirrors, four volt drivers, boards, welding torque or cutting, workbenches, various power switches and control devices, air and water sources, operating panels, CNC devices, and other components.
